Yep, another SGM, this time for senior members to vote on their preferred option regarding the potential strengthening and relocation of the wall between the pontoon basin and the grassed licensed premises. We ask all available senior members for their presence, to come and open-mindedly listen to the pros, cons and costs of the following three options, and to vote on their preference.
Option 1 – Build an new engineer-certified wall relocated east an additional 12m into the pontoon basin area and then north alongside the boat ramp driveway, with a retaining wall just prior to the midway path, utilising all the soil stockpile (should it test clean) and levelling the lawn for better functionality
Option 2: Same as above but relocated 3m instead of 12m into the pontoon basin, utilising some of the soil stockpile, should it test clean, and disposing of the rest offsite.
Option 3: Do nothing with the wall for the near future, and dispose of all the soil stockpile offsite. Note the soil must be removed from its current location by early August.
Drawings are below and also up on the noticeboard for viewing for both relocation options. The soil from lot 7303 (past the car park) is currently being tested and the results will be in later this week – these tests will be a major determinant in anticipated feasibility / cost estimates for the above. This information will be provided to members prior to voting.
