Congratulations to Hong Kong based yacht ‘Antipodes’ (skipper Geoff Hill), taking line honours for the 2016 Darwin to Ambon Yacht Race and Rally in a record time of 52 hrs 21 mins, beating the previous record set by Zuma (skipper John Punch) in 1998 by 1 hour 20 mins.
‘Mango Madness’ crossed the finish line first in the Premier Cruising Division and ‘Nautilus’ first in the Multi-hull Division.
After handicap, the resultant winners were:
IRC Racing: Antipodes (Geoff Hill)
Premier Cruising Mono-hull: Kita (Alan James)
Premier Cruising Multi-hull: Nautilus (John Punch)
