DBCYA MEMBERSHIPS & SAILPASS TEMP MEMBERSHIP (for sail crew)

All memberships expire 30 June each year.

Visitors welcome and can visit three times per year before being required to join as a member.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

All members benefit from:

drink discounts and happy hour prices
relaxed bistro dining with ambient live acoustic music Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
access to special events and feature band shows
FREE ENTRY to the ticketed Viking Funeral event in July that year
takeaway facility till 10pm each night
notifications of club activity, upcoming events and big act shows

Sail Crew Members can also access the pontoon, showers and other club facilities and participate in the Wet Season racing calendar.

Full members can also utilise a practical range of DIY R&M faclilites, hold office and vote.

FULL AND SAIL MEMBERSHIP (club facilities inc pontoon, DIY facilities, showers etc) additional nomination signatures are required. Our staff will assist with your application if needed.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Full Membership $180 Plus $40 join fee. Access to all facilities, can hold office and vote.

Social Membership $40 Access to bar and kitchen facilities only.

Sail Crew $60 for crew participating in DBCYA yacht races, incl access to all facilities, cannot hold office or vote.

50% membership fee discount if aged 60+.
50% membership fee discount for Full member partners

50% Pro Rata discount applies to applications received between January and March.
Extended membership (through to 30 June the following year) applies to applications received April to June

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Please note all memberships annually expire 30 June, renewal grace period is until 30 September.
If you are actively using the club's facilities you need to renew by 30 June.

To renew your membership online between May and September each year:

Find your Australian Sailing (AS) member number (as DBCYA members/other yacht club members you automatically become an AS member) - find it here with the AS Number Finder
Select the RETURNING MEMBER button below on the left.
Select FULL MEMBERSHIP (not SAILPASS MEMBERSHIP) then your appropriate membership category (Social, Full or Sail Crew).
Complete through the questions (those without an asterix are optional but please update your mobile/email if reqd).
If you are willing to volunteer in some capacity please indicate as you renew.
Please note you can only renew under the same category as your existing membership - an upgrade to Full member or Sail Crew member requires a new application form to be submitted across the bar.
If you are aged 60 or over your 50% discount will automatically be applied.

SAILPASS Temporary Membership

For participants in DBCYA organised yacht races only.
SailPass is a temporary one-day membership to allow non-members of a club to participate in sailing events in accordance with the Australian Sailing prescription at Racing Rules of Sailing 46.
SailPass provides participants with cover under the Australian Sailing Personal Accident Insurance policy for the day/s that the SailPass applies. You can use SailPass three times per race season (Nov - Mar).
The first time you register you will receive an email with your Australian Sailing Number.
$10 per day, up to 3 days per season.

To obtain a SailPass:

Renewal of membership reconfirms the member's original commitment upon joining, namely to abide by the Club Constitution, Club Rules and By-Laws and Club Policies and Procedures and shall not engage in conduct that is detrimental to the Association. The above-mentioned information can be obtained va the clubhouse or at www.dbcya.com.au.
