With ten Sunday races spread over Nov - April each year, these essential roles come with training, support and our gratitude. You can volunteer for one or more roles, some or all races as suits. Experience not necessary - we provide training and mentoring to ensure our volunteers have the skills needed to perform their role safely and professionally.

Welcoming Note :

Being a volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the many different aspects of sailing on and off the water, we recognise that volunteers are a crucial part of the smooth running and success of the race and we sincerely appreciate everyone who is willing to be involved.

Australian Sailing has an online Safety Code Induction course that is valuable to all sailing volunteers. Online learning can be accessed via your RevSPORT account.

Please see link - https://www.sailingresources.org.au/safety/safety-code-induction-online-course/

DBCYA provides refreshments for volunteers in the Start Trailer and issues 3 x drink tickets to be used at the DBCYA Bar at the completion of the days racing. We encourage volunteers to come to the club for presentation and celebrations and to be part of the days festivities with the sailors.

Thank you for your amazing support, your time, energy, and teamwork create a safe, welcoming, and well-run event for everyone involved.
