Steeped in decades of history, The Mega Annual Viking Funeral is DBCYA's biggest night of the year. An annual institution that is a firm fixture on the Darwin annual entertainment calendar for locals and visitors alike.
Darwin's most atmospheric event where hearty salt-of-the-earth Nordic merriment abounds. Tribute Viking Vessel burning, fire shows, lively music till late, extra bars and seating, satisfying tucker, 'Most Likely Viking' competitions for kids and adults, face painting, loads of badass costumes plus special performances by Darwin & Districts Pipes and Drums and the Top End Bow Hunters. Viking costume definitely encouraged. There's a big range of Viking hats, stubby coolers and Nordic drinking tankards for sale in the merch tent.
