MEMBER CONSULTATION PERIOD – NOW UNTIL 08 MARCH
INFORMAL Q & A SESSION – 5PM MON 18 FEB
A draft revision of our existing constitution has been compiled to modernize phraseology, fix errors and introduce a new membership classification model etc. This draft has been influenced where possible by the model constitution template produced by the Northern Territory Government.
Consultation with members is an integral part of this process and copies of this revised draft constitution are available at the bar (please return when finished to save paper) or online here for review and feebback. This consultation period will be open until 08 March 2019. Senior members are encouraged to respond in writing to the GM, Secretary or the Club ‘Suggestions Box’ with their input.
There will also be an informal question & answer session at the Clubhouse 5pm sharp Monday 18 Feb – interested senior members are encouraged to attend.
A finalized Proposed Amended Constitution will then be compiled at the close of the consultation process and its acceptance or otherwise will be decided by member vote at an April SGM (date to be advised).
